The Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant (HPP) is no longer subject to restoration. 11 spans of the dam’s upper part out of 28 were destroyed as a result of the Russian terrorist attack.

180 settlements were included in the emergency zone. At least 34 people were killed, and another 28 were injured. 39 people are considered missing [on the territory controlled by Ukraine – ed.], Klymenko summed up.

Almost 4,000 people and hundreds of domestic animals were evacuated from flooded areas. Russian occupying forces repeatedly opened fire on people during the rescue operation and evacuation, the Ministry of Internal Affairs recalled.

The Minister of Internal Affairs emphasised that the main threat to Ukraine and the world now exists around the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.

Klymenko thanked the partner countries for the assistance in the total amount of UAH 136 million [approximately US$3.6 million]. The delivered equipment helped deal with the aftermath of the Russian terrorist attack.
