"I wouldn't like to jump ahead of myself because I have my own information, but various security considerations also play a role. President Zelenskyy is the leader of a country at war; he is under threat of a terrorist attack from Russia," Szrot said, responding to when the two presidents might meet.

Szrot also said during the radio broadcast that President Duda supports the Polish government's position on unilaterally extending the embargo on Ukrainian agricultural imports.

"Pursuing its national interests, Poland has decided to close the Polish market to Ukrainian grain as Poland does not need this grain. This grain is very much needed in countries facing famine caused by the turmoil associated with Russia's aggression against Ukraine... and the transporting of this Ukrainian grain through Poland to these countries should be facilitated," said Szrot.
