Explosions rocked Khmelnytskyi Oblast during an air raid on the night of 18 September – this was air defence responding to the attack, but the falling missile wreckage damaged houses, business premises and railway tracks.

Updated at 09:33: Later, Tiurin reported that the blast wave had damaged roofs and windows in several residential buildings due to the missiles' impact.

Furthermore, wreckage fell and two explosions occurred at a production facility. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine contained the blaze.

The wreckage also damaged a railway track. Repair work is underway.

Background: On the night of 17-18 September, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that the Russians had fired a group of missiles on Ukraine. An air-raid warning was issued in all oblasts of the country.
