Russia attacks most actively on Avdiivka and Mariinka fronts – General Staff

Russian forces carried out attacks on 7 fronts, launched 7 missile strikes and 60 airstrikes during the day, fired 64 times from MLRSs at Ukrainian troops' positions and settlements, and a total of 94 combat clashes took place on the contact line over the day.

Details: In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia Operational Strategic Group on the Kupiansk front, Ukrainian defenders repelled three Russian attacks in the areas of Synkivka and Petropavlivka in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Lyman front, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 14 attacks near Makiivka, Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast and Verkhnekamianske in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut front, Ukrainian troops repelled five attacks near Klishchiivka and Andriivka in Donetsk Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of the Tavria Operational Strategic Group on the Avdiivka front, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are continuing to hold back the Russians, who keep trying to encircle Avdiivka. Ukrainian troops repelled 11 attacks in the areas of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka and another 14 attacks near Pervomaiske and Nevelske in Donetsk Oblast over the past day.

On the Mariinka front, Ukrainian defenders continued to hold back the Russians near Krasnohorivka, Mariinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk Oblast, where they repelled 16 attacks.

On the Zaporizhzhia front, Ukrainian defenders repelled 10 attacks near Chervone, west of Verbove and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa Operational Strategic Group on the Kherson front, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to expand their bridgehead. Over the past day, Russians made 7 unsuccessful assaults on Ukrainian defenders' positions.

According to the General Staff, the Russian command has begun to issue drugs and psychotropic substances to soldiers. This particularly concerns the personnel of the 108th Air Assault Regiment of the 7th Air Assault Division.

"These drugs lead to euphoria and dull the pain. Soldiers who use them are more likely to agree to harsh assaults without fear of injury or death," the General Staff said in a statement.

Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian Defence Force aircraft struck 4 areas where Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated. Air defence forces also destroyed a Kh-59 guided missile.

Rocket Forces and Artillery troops struck 3 clusters of personnel, weapons and military equipment, an air defence facility and 2 storage points belonging to the occupiers.
