Three people were injured in a Russian drone attack on the city of Odesa on the night of 16-17 January.

Details: "The number of casualties in the Russian attack increased to three people as two more women, 69 and 29, were injured," Kiper says. Earlier it was reported that a 62-year-old man had been injured. Doctors are providing the necessary assistance.

Updated at 05.02: Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov reported that firefighters had extinguished a fire in a residential building in Prymorskyi District, but cars had been burnt out. The blast wave damaged windows in the houses.

There is a deep crater and damaged utility facilities in the city centre. No casualties were recorded. 

Trukhanov said an operational headquarters will work at the scene in the morning, where it will be possible to receive advice regarding municipal assistance for the repair of windows and doors.

The repair of damaged utilities will begin after the completion of the work by the emergency services.

Updated at 07:05: The State Emergency Service in Odesa Oblast has reported that a gas pipe, cars, balconies and an apartment caught fire in Odesa as a result of the Russian attack.

The facade of a building was partially destroyed. The blast wave damaged eight cars, and four cars were destroyed by the fire. 

Rescue workers set up a mobile heating station at the scene. Psychologists from the State Emergency Service provided assistance to the residents.
