Quote: "The occupiers do not report whether it is an outbreak of acute respiratory infections or COVID-19. Hospitals are not prepared for the period of infectious diseases spread, especially concerning COVID patients," the city council's statement reads.

The city council emphasises the possibility of an epidemic in the city, since local medical facilities lack the necessary medications and equipment.

Earlier, it was reported that in the temporarily occupied Mariupol, sick people are being discharged from hospitals to die at home, leading to an increase in mortality in the city.
