The occupying authorities of Kherson Oblast announced the creation of a government, appointing the vice-premier of Kaliningrad Oblast and former worker of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation Sergey Yeliseyev as the head of the puppet "Cabinet of Ministers."

Details: Two more positions in the occupation pseudo-government were also given to former Russian government officials.

Background:

• On 3 July, British intelligence reported that Russia is likely to carry out a pseudo-referendum for accession in occupied Kherson to try to legitimise its control.
