The Kyiv metro operated in a limited mode during the air-raid alert, as so many people were using it as a shelter.

Details: The city authorities are urging people in Kyiv to follow the instructions given at stations regarding changes in the operation of the metro.

Kyiv City State Administration has issued a reminder that the metro does not run on overground sections during air-raid alerts.

Updated at 15:19: The city authorities later reported that the metro is gradually resuming normal operations, but this will take some time.

City Hall urged residents to be patient and take care of themselves.
