On the eve of the inauguration of Russian ruler Vladimir Putin, Alexei Navalny’s Anti-Corruption Foundation has posted a video and photos from Putin’s palace near Gelendzhik on southern Russia’s Black Sea coast.

Quote: "We were able to get video footage from inside of Putin's palace in Gelendzhik, which has already been fully completed. And now we will see everything with our own eyes: the stucco, the crystal chandeliers, the personal chapel and, of course, the aqua disco.

We will literally break into Putin's home and show who he really is. He is a crazy old dictator who, even during the war he started, could not stop and carried on building his luxurious palace."

Details: After the 2021 investigation into Putin's palace, a friend of the Russian leader, businessman Arkady Rotenberg, claimed that the building belonged to him and that an apartment hotel would be opened there after it had been refurbished.

However, as the ACF has found out, more than three years on, no apartment hotel has appeared in the palace on Cape Idokopas, although the refurbishment is now complete.

The investigators managed to obtain a video of the actual interiors of the palace. They were filmed on a hidden camera; who exactly did it is not specified.

The video shows an aqua disco, a swimming pool, an avenue with fake antique statues, a jacuzzi, a massage room, numerous military- and patriotic-themed paintings, expensive furniture and chandeliers.

The gambling room and casino have been replaced by a private chapel that contains an unusual triptych with icons of the Virgin Mary, Jesus and St Vladimir. It also has a throne.

The ACF also posted floor plans of the palace. At the time of filming, not all the furniture had been unpacked.
