On the night of 29-30 September, two rockets hit a room of the building where Alexei Katerinichev, the Deputy Head of Security Affairs of Kherson Oblast and an ex-FSB employee, was living. The collaborator died before he had been in his "post" even two months.

Details: Russian media are claiming that Alexei Katerinichev, who styled himself "First Deputy Head for Security of the Military and Civilian Administration of Kherson Oblast," has been killed as a result of a rocket attack in the centre of Kherson. The occupiers are accusing the Armed Forces of Ukraine of carrying out a "pinpoint HIMARS strike".

"They hit the very room where he was, that he lived in," one of the collaborators says.

Russian media report that the deputy Russian puppet of Kherson Oblast had been in this post for a month and a half. Prior to that, he served in Russia’s border force and the FSB for 25 years.

Background: Vitalii Hura, the deputy "head of administration" of Russian-occupied Nova Kakhovka [Kherson Oblast], appeared on Russian TV after previously having been reported killed. According to the collaborator, his "death" on 6 August was allegedly staged by the FSB, who had been tipped off about an assassination attempt.
