Resnikov’s quote: "Soon we are expecting the delivery of the first NASAMS air defence systems. Our soldiers have nearly mastered the [new] equipment."

Details: The Minister of Defence also shared details of the recent sixth meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group [known as the Ramstein format for the US army base in Germany where the first such meeting was held - ed.] which took place in Brussels. This consisted of an informal meeting of NATO defence ministers, as well as a number of bilateral negotiations with international partners.

Reznikov said that the countries involved in the Ramstein format and NATO will extend their support to Ukraine.

He noted that Ukraine has already received a lot of assistance from partners and continues to get it.

In addition, thousands of Ukrainian soldiers have undergone training, and tens of thousands are preparing for training in partner countries.

In addition, Ukraine is implementing the NATO Logfas system for accounting and logistics. The defence procurement system is being reformed pursuant to NATO principles.

Reznikov stated that the Ukrainian military has mastered over 300 NATO standards, and one of the largest transformations of defence forces since World War II is being carried out. Moreover, that’s taking place during the active phase of hostilities.

The Minister of Defence expects that the partners will soon "run out of arguments" not to provide Ukraine with aircraft and tanks.

Reznikov states that immediately after Ramstein-6, the US Secretary of Defence, Lloyd Austin and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, publicly identified as a top priority the assistance in the creation of an integrated anti-aircraft and anti-missile defence system for the Ukrainian skies.

Reznikov explained that this strong message was received by over 50 countries, which are now considering options for participating in this work on a practical level.

He also reported that Spain has decided to provide Ukraine with modernised HAWK air defence systems, and Great Britain and the Netherlands have already announced their intention to provide additional missiles for the air defence/anti-missile systems.

The Minister of Defence stated that an intensive dialogue with the French allies regarding the Сrotale air defence system, as well as the Samp-T complexes, is underway.
