Further training will take place at the UK’s Royal Centre for Defence Medicine based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, where injured servicemen evacuated from abroad are treated.

The UK team training Ukrainian doctors was led by Lieutenant Colonel James Baden, a specialist in reconstructive surgery following combat injury. The Ukrainian group includes both military and civilian specialists.

The training will help improve operations to rehabilitate military and civilian personnel injured in the fighting in Ukraine.

As reported, Italy’s Ministry of Health has launched a project aimed at supporting institutions treating military personnel and civilians injured during military operations in Ukraine.
