List with surprises: Weapons Ukraine requested from US revealed
Ukraine has requested new types of armaments from the US for repelling Russian attacks, including modern air defence systems, F-18 Hornet fighter jets, UAVs, Apache and Black Hawk helicopters.

Details: Officials from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine presented a "list of armament for covering the needs of the Defence Forces of Ukraine" during a closed conference in Washington on 6 December attended by government officials and defence industry executives.
The list includes armaments Ukraine already has in stock, such as Abrams tanks and 155 mm artillery, as well as F-16 fighter jets, UAVs and long-range ATACMS missiles that it had requested before.
But this list includes a few surprises, mainly the expensive C-17 Globemaster aircraft produced by Boeing (BA.N) and the C-130 Super Hercules produced by Lockheed Martin (LMT.N). The list also includes Boeing’s Apache attack helicopters, as well as the Black Hawk helicopter made by Lockheed Martin’s Sikorsky division.
Ukraine also needs F-18 Hornet fighter jets, three types of General Atomics UAVs, including MQ-9B Sky Guardian and Lockheed’s Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) air defence system.
