Ukrainian rescue workers clear and expand more than kilometre of river bed in Slovenia
Rescue workers from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine managed to clear and expand more than a kilometre of the Savinja River bed since the beginning of their mission to eliminate the consequences of floods in Slovenia.

Details According to the Kruk, "since the beginning of the work, more than 1,000 metres of the river bed have been cleared and expanded by Ukrainian rescue workers; over 11,000 cubic metres of soil have been moved; and 570 metres of the coast have been fortified".
Quote: "We work and continue to help! We cooperate with counterparts from Germany, who also came to support Slovenia," Kruk added.
He also noted that "solidarity works in both directions", and that "with this motto today, Ukrainian rescue workers continue to help Slovenia".

Recent heavy rains have caused significant damage in Slovenia, collapsing at least seven major and regional bridges and affecting roads and energy infrastructure facilities. Thousands of people had to leave their homes; many were evacuated by helicopters and boats, and fatalities were reported.
According to the authorities, this is the worst flood situation in Slovenia’s recent history, affecting two-thirds of the country's territory.
51 Ukrainian rescue workers and 19 pieces of equipment began restoration works in flood-affected areas.
Robert Golob, Prime Minister of Slovenia, personally met the Ukrainian rescue team, which arrived to provide assistance due to the floods in Slovenia.
