Russian Volunteer Corps claims to have killed FSB employee and wounded 10 more during raid

The Russian Volunteer Corps (RVC), which is fighting on the side of Ukraine, has reported a raid in the border area, during which Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) officers were injured.

Quote: "Representatives of the RVC, together with other units, have conducted another successful fire raid in the border area. At least one FSB officer was killed and about 10 wounded."

Background:

• On Tuesday, 5 September, the RVC claimed responsibility for a raid in Russia's Bryansk Oblast on 4 September, reporting that two FSB border guards had been killed.
• Earlier, the RVC said they and the Security Service of Ukraine had jointly attacked an airfield in Russia's Kursk Oblast on 27 August.
• On 24 June, the RVC and the Freedom of Russia Legion supported the Wagner Group’s rebellion against the Russian authorities and called on their supporters to take action.
• In May, the RVC claimed that they had crossed the border and entered Russian territory.
