Zelenskyy reports strikes on important targets in two Russian regions – video

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has confirmed that Ukraine's defence forces struck logistics centres in Russia that support the Russian military's supply chain on the night of 21-22 July.

Quote: "Today, Ukraine's long-range sanctions [strikes – ed.] successfully struck important targets in Russia's Krasnodar and Stavropol regions – logistics hubs involved in supplying the Russian army with drone components, navigation equipment, and other gear – as well as another oil depot.

In the waters of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, a tanker and four cargo ships from Russia's shadow fleet were also hit. We thank all our warriors in Ukraine's defence forces for these results."

Details: The president said Ukraine continues to bring the war back to Russian territory.

"Peace is needed, and Ukraine has presented the Russian side with every proposal. They must be forced to turn to diplomacy," Zelenskyy added.

Background: The Russian authorities and users on social media communities reported that large Wildberries logistics centres in Krasnodar and Nevinnomyssk, Stavropol Krai, caught fire following a drone attack on the night of 21-22 July. Wildberries is Russia's largest online retailer.
