Ukraine's Special Operations Forces raid Russian positions in close-quarters combat – video

Ukraine's Special Operations Forces (SOF) have posted a video showing a raid on Russian positions, which replenished the POW exchange pool and yielded valuable intelligence.

Details: A special-purpose group from the 6th Rangers Regiment of the Special Operations Forces carried out successful special operations in an operational area.

The operatives raided Russian positions, killing four Russian soldiers and capturing two.

The SOF troops operated so quietly, even in broad daylight, that they were able to approach the Russians from a distance of just one metre. The soldiers say the Russians only realised the operatives were nearby when they were ordered not to move.

In addition to replenishing the POW exchange pool, the special-purpose group also obtained valuable intelligence, documents and Russian communications equipment.

The timing and location of the special operation have not been disclosed. Information on successful special forces operations is very often released with a significant delay for security reasons.
