Russia attacks Ukraine with 150 drones and two missiles overnight, air defence destroy 124 UAVs

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 150 Shahed (some jet-powered) and other types of drones as well as an Iskander-M ballistic missile and a Kh-31P air-to-surface missile on the night of 24-25 August.

Details: The Russians launched the Iskander-M ballistic missile from Russia's Rostov Oblast, while the Kh-31P air-to-surface missile was fired from Bryansk Oblast.

The 150 Shahed (some jet-powered) and Gerbera attack drones and Parodiya decoy UAVs were launched from the Russian cities of Oryol and Primorsko-Akhtarsk as well as from temporarily occupied Donetsk and Hvardiiske in Crimea.

Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.

Hits by aerial assets have been recorded at 17 locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at seven locations."

Details: The Ukrainian Air Force stressed that as of 09:00 the attack is still ongoing, as several Russian drones are still in the airspace.
