Azovstal strikes leave people injured, but defenders have lost contact with hospital

Russian attacks on the Azovstal steelworks in Mariupol have resulted in injuries, but the defenders now have no contact with the field hospital.

Direct quote from Palamar: "Shelling, aircraft, all night long. Some people are wounded. There are aircraft flying over the hospital and we don’t even have contact with them. We don’t even know where to evacuate them all to."
Background:
- Russian troops shelled the Azovstal plant in besieged Mariupol on 9 May and continue to do so.
- The Azov Regiment say the Russians have carried out 34 sorties over the past 24 hours, including eight sorties by strategic bombers over Azovstal.
- On 10 May, the National Guard said that the whole of the Ukrainian leadership is working to evacuate civilians and rescue the soldiers who are holding the line of defence at the Azovstal plant in occupied Mariupol.
