Russian strikes kill 5 and injure 24 people in four Ukrainian oblasts
Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Donetsk and Kharkiv oblasts on 1 October, killing five people and injuring 24.

Details: A total of 587 strikes were recorded in 13 settlements in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. A 73-year-old man was injured in the Vasylivka district. Russia also conducted five airstrikes on the settlements of Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Poltavka and Hirke. Thirteen houses and outbuildings were damaged.
Critical and social infrastructure and residential areas came under fire in Kherson Oblast. A high-rise building, 10 houses, a car and a moped were damaged. Two people were killed and four injured. The settlements of Antonivka, Komyshany, Prydniprovske, Bilozerka, Stanislav, Tomyna Balka, Sofiivka, Dniprovske, Beryslav, Zmiivka, Lvove, Tiahynka and Kherson were affected.
Russian attacks injured four residents in Donetsk Oblast. These figures do not include those killed or injured in Mariupol and Volnovakha.
An 88-year-old woman was killed in Balakliia in Kharkiv Oblast. Fifteen people were injured, including a four-year-old girl who suffered an acute stress reaction. Russia used an Iskander-M missile, a guided aerial bomb, a Molniya drone and an FPV drone.
Houses were damaged in Kupiansk and Velyka Shapkivka and a high-rise building in Novoosynove in the Kupiansk district. Five high-rise buildings, a non-residential building, 11 cars, a café, an office building, shops, pharmacies, a beauty salon, a dental clinic, a bakery, a post office and a kiosk were destroyed in Balakliia. A house and outbuildings were destroyed in Pisky-Radkivski.
