Russian attack causes partial blackout in Lviv

Part of the city of Lviv has been left without electricity following a large-scale Russian attack on the morning of 5 October.

Quote: "Part of Lviv is without power. [The residential districts of] Riasne and Levandivka are known to be affected."

Details: An air-raid warning is currently in effect in the city and the oblast.

Background:

  • Earlier, Sadovyi announced a temporary suspension in the operation of public transport in Lviv due to the threat of attack.
  • At 06:36, explosions were heard in Lviv after Ukraine's Air Force reported that Russian Kinzhal hypersonic missiles were approaching the city.
  • Before that, a series of explosions occurred in the city during a large-scale Russian drone attack.
