Russian forces in recent weeks have changed their tactics for striking Ukrainian energy facilities, focusing not on the entire Ukrainian power system but on specific elements in individual regions.

Quote: "Under such conditions, support for energy workers from international partners has become even more relevant, particularly in the context of strengthening the resilience of Ukraine's power system against enemy attacks."

Details: Zaichenko noted that protective structures have already been built at most substations.

"Their effectiveness has already been proven dozens of times, when equipment remained intact after enemy strikes. However, the installation of protective measures is still ongoing, and Ukrenergo is carrying out this work using grant and loan funds. We are grateful to our partners for all the assistance they have already provided. But now, continued support is extremely needed," the head of Ukrenergo noted.

Background: On 8 October, Russian attacks left residents in several regions of Ukraine without electricity.
