Details: The president said that Russian losses on this section of the front have now reached around 13,000 troops. Russian forces have retreated and a mop-up operation is now underway in the settlement of Volodymyrivka.
Quote: "Today there were offensive actions from the Russian side – in Volodymyrivka, Shakhivka, then Sofiivka – they were trying to unblock their troops. They have already suffered about 13,000 losses here, and that's why they wanted to get their forces out. They suffered losses and retreated, their equipment was destroyed, and a mop-up operation in Volodymyrivka is now underway."
Background: On 1 October, Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, made another visit to the Dobropillia front, where Ukraine's counteroffensive operation continues. "Our defence forces have split the enemy's so-called 'Dobropillia salient' and are doing everything possible to inflict maximum losses on the occupiers," Syrskyi said.
