Blackout in Chernihiv as Russian drones prevent repair works

The Ministry of Energy has reported that the city of Chernihiv and half of Chernihiv Oblast are in a complete blackout, while energy crews are unable to begin repair work due to the ongoing activity of Russian drones.

Details: Emergency energy teams in Chernihiv Oblast cannot start restoring the power supply because of continuous Russian drone attacks.

"The Russians are deliberately launching unmanned aerial vehicles that continuously circle over the damaged facilities, making repair work impossible and deliberately prolonging the humanitarian crisis," the ministry stated.

The city of Chernihiv and the entire northern part of the oblast have been left without power due to a recent strike.
