Ukraine hits mechanical plant in Mordovia and oil refinery in Dagestan overnight

Ukraine's defence forces struck the Saransk Mechanical Plant in the Republic of Mordovia and the Makhachkala Oil Refinery in the Republic of Dagestan, Russia, on the night of 21-22 October.

Quote: "The Saransk Mechanical Plant in the Republic of Mordovia has been hit. Explosions were recorded on the facility's territory. The plant manufactures anti-personnel engineering munitions, mine-laying kits, detonators for ammunition and triggering mechanisms.

In addition, the Makhachkala Oil Refinery in the Republic of Dagestan has been struck. One of the processing units on the facility's premises has been hit.

The plant's main function is to supply and store fuel for the Caspian Fleet's naval base and to refuel Russian occupiers' military vessels. The refinery's annual processing capacity is up to one million tonnes."

Background: On Tuesday 21 October, Ukrainian defence forces struck the Bryansk Chemical Plant, using, among other weapons, Storm Shadow missiles.
