Details: Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko noted that the decision was made in connection with the publication of NABU's investigation materials concerning possible abuses at Energoatom, Ukraine's state-owned nuclear energy company. One of the final candidates, Oksana Kryvenko, is mentioned in the files.

Quote: "Under such conditions, continuing the competitive selection process is incompatible with the principles of transparency, integrity and trust in the process. The selection process will be resumed after an additional integrity check on the candidates."

Background: Kryvenko previously served as an adviser to then energy minister Herman Halushchenko and worked at the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission. Due to her work at the regulator, she was involved in the Rotterdam+ case. But she was considered "the most qualified" candidate by the Supervisory Board.
