Ukrainian parliament dismisses Svitlana Hrynchuk as energy minister

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (Ukrainian parliament) approved the dismissal of Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk on 19 November.

Details: A total of 315 MPs voted in favour of Hrynchuk's dismissal.
Background:
- On 12 November, it was reported that the Verkhovna Rada planned to consider the dismissal of Justice Minister Herman Halushchenko and Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk at its session on 18 November.
- On 14 November, the Parliamentary Committee on Energy supported the prime minister's submission to dismiss Svitlana Hrynchuk from the post of energy minister due to a conflict of interest. Twenty-one members of the committee voted in favour.
- On 12 November, Hrynchuk submitted a letter of resignation.
- The same day, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Halushchenko and Hrynchuk were being removed from their posts.
