"There are some worthy candidates": Zelenskyy reveals when he will announce new head of President's Office

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that he needs to hold additional consultations before appointing a new head of the President's Office.

Quote: "I'm not going to announce it [who will head the Office of the President – ed.]. I want to conduct additional consultations. I have scheduled them, and I'll do that when I get back to Ukraine. My choice depends on several things – the direction of management, whether we focus more on diplomacy or other important areas.
We certainly have some worthy [candidates] in Ukraine. I think you will see this."
Background:
- Sources in the government have told Ukrainska Pravda that the most likely candidates to take charge of the President's Office are Digital Transformation Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, Defence Minister Denys Shmyhal, and Pavlo Palisa, Deputy Head of the Office for Military Affairs.
- On 28 November, Zelenskyy announced that he had accepted Andrii Yermak's resignation as head of the President's Office and that the institution would now undergo a reboot. The president said he would hold consultations with potential candidates on 29 November.
- Yermak subsequently announced that he was joining the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
