Ukraine attracts almost €1.3 bn in international aid to purchase gas
Ukraine has attracted almost €1.3 billion in international aid for additional emergency gas purchases to get through the winter period.

Details: It was noted that Norway has allocated €127 million euros directly for gas purchases as part of overall international assistance. In addition, Norway has contributed more than €77 million to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine. Projects for distributed generation on the ground are financed from this fund, and necessary gas pumping equipment has also been purchased.
After a meeting with Kristin Enstad, counsellor-envoy at the Norwegian Embassy in Ukraine, Deputy Minister Mykola Kolisnyk noted that cooperation with Norway is currently being carried out in several areas and that Ukraine is interested in strengthening them.
In particular, these areas include the purchase of additional volumes of natural gas, the supply of energy equipment for rapid recovery and the formation of strategic reserves, as well as the construction of distributed generation facilities.
