US President Donald Trump's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff has said that significant progress was made during talks between the US and Ukrainian delegations in Berlin on Sunday 14 December.

Background:
- At 17:23 Kyiv time, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that he had begun a meeting in Berlin with representatives of the US and Germany on peace in Ukraine.
- Zelenskyy posted photos showing that the meeting had been attended by members of the Ukrainian delegation as well as US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
- Late in the evening, Zelenskyy's adviser Dmytro Lytvyn said that the talks on 14 December had lasted more than five hours and will continue on the morning of 15 December.
