Russians kill woman in Kyiv Oblast, three more people injured

Russia's large-scale air attack has killed a woman, 76, and injured three other people, including a 16-year-old girl, in Kyiv Oblast.

Details: Kalashnyk said that a fire broke out in a two-storey house in the Vyshhorod district as a result of the Russian attack. The 76-year-old woman was killed.

Three more people in the same district sustained shrapnel wounds: a man, 50, a woman, 53, and a 16-year-old girl. It was reported that all people injured in the Russian attack received medical assistance at the scene.

In the Obukhiv district, two houses were damaged: windows were blown out and façades and roofs were damaged.

The Oblast Military Administration noted that the Russian attack was still underway and called on residents to remain in safe places.

Background:

  • On the morning of 23 December, a large-scale air-raid warning was issued throughout Ukraine. Russian forces are conducting a combined attack using cruise missiles and attack drones. Air defence systems have been reported to be operating in Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast, as well as in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast.
  • Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko said that as a result of the attack on Kyiv, debris fell near a residential building in the Sviatoshynskyi district, and three people were reported to have been injured.
  • In Zhytomyr Oblast, six people, including two children, were injured as a result of Russia's air attack on 23 December.
