Quote: "As I promised, I will keep the public informed about preparations for the possible elections under martial law. Today, for the first time since the full-scale invasion, the Central Election Commission adopted a resolution resuming the operation of the State Register of Voters."
Details: Arakhamiia said that this moves the process forward by re-establishing the Central Election Commission's engagement with citizens and state bodies on maintaining the register and, as a result, bringing it up to date.
He said updating the voters' register is one of the basic conditions for holding any elections.
Quote: "The war has had a major impact on demographic figures and this must be reflected in the register. There is a great deal of work still to be done on this front."
Background: Arakhamiia said earlier that the Verkhovna Rada has been forming a working group to deal with the issue of holding a presidential election under martial law.
