Ukrenergo, Ukraine's state-owned electricity transmission operator, has said that Russia has been preparing another large-scale attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.

Details: Zaichenko said that Ukrenergo has identified a pattern in the timing of Russia's large-scale attacks on the power system since the start of autumn.

Quote: "Predicting anything is very difficult right now because we understand the enemy is preparing another attack. This is always the case. We have already seen since the beginning of autumn that roughly every 10 days there is an attack on the power system and on a massive scale."

More details: Zaichenko said that each such strike significantly complicates the balancing of the power grid, forcing the operator to introduce emergency power outage schedules.

Background: Power outages have been reported in Donetsk, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson and Kharkiv oblasts as a result of Russian attacks on power generation facilities and electricity transmission and distribution networks.
