Zelenskyy-Trump meeting rescheduled several hours earlier

A meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump will take place at 20:00 Kyiv time, several hours earlier than previously planned.

Details: The meeting had earlier been scheduled for 22:00 Kyiv time but was moved to 20:00.

The White House schedule shows that at 13:00 local time Trump will take part in a bilateral meeting with the president of Ukraine.

The presidents will meet in Palm Beach, Florida. The Ukrainian delegation is already in the United States.

Background:

• Zelenskyy previously confirmed that he is meeting with Trump on Sunday 28 December.
• He also named the members of Ukraine's negotiating team.
• Zelenskyy also outlined five main areas from talks on a "peace plan" that he wants to discuss at his meeting with Trump.
