Details: DIU has released a video showing a report to Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, Head of Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, by the commander of the Tymur Special Unit. Kapustin is also present at the meeting.
Budanov was briefed that the organisers of the crime on the Russian secret services' side, as well as the perpetrators, had been identified. The money allocated by Russian secret services to carry out the crime was also obtained.
"As of now, the RVC commander is on the territory of Ukraine and is preparing to carry out assigned tasks," Budanov was told.
Kapustin himself said in the video that his "temporary absence had no impact on the work of the units".
Budanov noted that the funds received from those who ordered Kapustin's killing had been channelled into the fight against Russia.
Background: On 27 December, the Russian Volunteer Corps reported that its commander Denis Kapustin had been killed while carrying out a combat mission on the Zaporizhzhia front.
