Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, commenting on Russia's large-scale attack on the night of 23-24 January, has said that Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin ordered the strike at the very moment when talks on the peace process under the auspices of the US were underway in the UAE.

Details: Sybiha noted that Russia's strikes hit, among others, Ukraine's largest cities – Kyiv and Kharkiv. In addition, Chernihiv was left without electricity following the attacks.

Russia's main targets remain unchanged: energy facilities and residential areas, Sybiha added.

"Cynically, Putin ordered a brutal large-scale missile strike against Ukraine right while delegations are meeting in Abu Dhabi to advance the America-led peace process. His missiles hit not only our people, but also the negotiation table," he stressed.

Sybiha said that this attack demonstrates that "Putin's place is not at the board of peace, but at the dock of the special tribunal".
