Partial power outage in Chernihiv Oblast due to Russian drone attack

Russian Geran drones hit an energy facility in the Semenivka hromada in Chernihiv Oblast at around 05:00 on 28 January, leaving a number of settlements without electricity. Details: Chaus said a fire broke out at the scene of the strike.

He added that an FPV drone strike had damaged a house in the town of Semenivka yesterday, and that a house caught fire in a village in the Semenivka hromada after an explosive was dropped from a drone.

Geran drones attacked a facility in the Bakhmach hromada on the night of 27-28 January, damaging a storage tank and other equipment.

Over the past day, Russian forces had carried out 26 attacks, resulting in 40 explosions, Chaus said.

Background: Russian strikes on energy infrastructure facilities have left consumers without electricity in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Chernihiv and Zaporizhzhia oblasts.
