Background:
- On 25 January, Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov, an adviser to Fedorov on technology-related matters, reported that Starlink is probably being used by Russians on Shahed attack UAVs.
- On 30 January, Elon Musk responded to a request from Fedorov for help in addressing the problem of Russian attack drones using Starlink satellite internet.
- It later became known that SpaceX had taken countermeasures against the use of the Starlink satellite internet system on Russian attack UAVs.
- On 1 February, Musk noted that steps taken to prevent Russia's unauthorised use of Starlink satellite internet had likely been effective.
