Emergency power cuts introduced in Kyiv and several oblasts after Russian attack

Emergency power outages have been introduced in the city of Kyiv and several Ukrainian oblasts on the morning of 7 February following a Russian attack.

Details: Energy companies said that Rolling outage schedules are currently not in effect. Consumers will be informed separately if the situation changes.

Quote from Ukrenergo: "Emergency power cuts have been implemented in most regions due to damage caused by the enemy.

The attack is still ongoing. Repair and restoration work will begin as soon as the security situation allows."

Background: Russian forces have been striking Ukrainian oblasts since the night, mainly targeting the country's west.
