Quote: "The enemy carried out a large-scale attack using drones and missiles against substations and 750 kV and 330 kV overhead power lines."

Details: As a result, nuclear power plants were forced to cut their generation capacity.

The power system is being balanced by importing electricity and applying restriction measures due to the significant damage, the ministry reported.

The number of power outages has increased on the orders of Ukrenergo, Ukraine's electricity transmission system operator. Emergency power cuts have been introduced in most Ukrainian oblasts.

The main reason is the effects of the large-scale Russian attack on Ukrainian power plants and electricity transmission and distribution substations.
