Ukrainian film Animals in War to be released in North American cinemas
The Ukrainian film Animals in War, produced by Oleh Kokhan, has secured distribution in North America. Distribution rights have been acquired by Omnibus Entertainment.

Details: Animals in War consists of seven short stories, each created by different directors. The plot presents real stories of rescuing animals during the war.
One of the stories features American film star and two-time Academy Award winner Sean Penn, who plays a sound producer that becomes an accidental witness to the start of the war. The story, titled "Eagle", was directed by Myroslav Slaboshpytskyi. Sean Penn appeared in the film for a fee of one dollar.
Omnibus Entertainment plans to release the film in North America across various services and platforms to maximise international audience reach.
Michael Rosenberg, president of Film Movement, said that Animals in War "offers a strikingly original perspective on the human and environmental cost of this invasion".
Filming took place in Ukraine and the United States. Around 500 filmmakers participated in the project, and the soundtrack features a song by Imagine Dragons.
The world premiere of Animals in War took place at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. The Ukrainian premiere was held as part of the Odesa International Film Festival on 4 October, World Animal Day.
