Quote: "According to sources in one of law enforcement agencies, recently at night a drone was spotted over territory of the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office. Police were called to the scene. Affiliation of UAV is currently being established."
Details: Last week, during a public report on the work, Semen Kryvonos, head of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU), said that attempts to pressure agencies do not stop. As an example, he cited a recent case when a listening device was found in the apartment of the head of a group of detectives working on uncovering crimes in the defence sector. Anti-corruption officials are not disclosing the circumstances but the publication notes that such an operation could hardly have been carried out without help of special services.
All these events are taking place at a time when a new wave of negativity about the agencies has appeared in Telegram channels. A similar campaign was already observed in summer 2025 before the attempt to take away independence of anti-corruption bodies.
Then, as well as now, NABU and SAPO have been accused of corruption and inefficiency. For the period of 12-26 January 2026, 238 publications with negative sentiment were recorded on social media. The vast majority of negative mentions came from anonymous or semi-anonymous resources, which may indicate managed information influence.
Anti-corruption bodies, in turn, insist that attempts of any influence will not slow down work. All the more so because, for example, the Midas case has moved into other jurisdictions that are ready to cooperate and are already working with Ukrainian investigation.
