Details: Anyone who'd like to join Chloé for a chat can bid in an auction. The highest bidder will get to spend one hour talking with Chloé on Zoom. The auction is already open and will run until 28 March. Bids can be placed online via this link. All the money raised will go towards supporting the volunteer organisation.
Animal Rescue Kharkiv was founded in 2016. To begin with, volunteers only rescued animals from Kharkiv and the surrounding areas, but after the start of the full-scale invasion, they expanded their operations to include Donetsk and Sumy oblasts as well. Volunteers travelled to Kherson during the flooding caused by the destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant, and they continue to respond to requests from local residents and the military.
In Kharkiv itself, the organisation runs a clinic, a rehabilitation centre for cats and fish, facilities providing temporary care for dogs, and several other animal care centres across the city.
Volunteers often post on social media with videos of evacuations, calls for donations to buy food and medicines, and requests for animal fostering, as shelters are often overcrowded.
