Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant loses main 750kV power line

The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) has lost its connection to the 750kV Dniprovska power supply line and switched to its sole back-up line.

Details: The IAEA added that it is opening discussions between Russia and Ukraine to secure a ceasefire for repairs and the restoration of the power supply.

Background:

• On 27 February, a temporary ceasefire was established at the ZNPP to repair the 330kV Ferrosplavna-1 power line.
• The Ferrosplavna-1 was also repaired during another temporary ceasefire in January.
