Zelenskyy: Russia preparing operation against Ukraine's water supply systems

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that Russia is preparing an operation targeting Ukraine's water supply systems in the coming months.

Quote: "We also know that the Russians are preparing an operation against water supply systems in the coming months. And every community must take the protection of relevant facilities seriously and with full responsibility."

Details: Zelenskyy said he on Wednesday had held a nationwide briefing with all regions that had been hit by Russian strikes. Particular attention was paid to Chernihiv Oblast, where restoration work to bring electricity back continued throughout the day.

Quote: "I tasked government officials and the Presidential Office team to also work together with the military on air defence issues – especially protection against drones – in the western regions of Ukraine. We need to add defensive lines – this is a clear task."

Details: Zelenskyy added that he had also reviewed key tasks with the prime minister, CEO of Ukraine's largest national oil and gas company Naftogaz Group, other government officials and the defence minister.
