Power cuts in six regions due to Russian strikes: Chernihiv and Odesa oblasts hardest hit

Power outages are affecting some consumers in Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Sumy, Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv oblasts as of the morning of 26 March due to the hostilities and Russian strikes on energy infrastructure facilities.

Details: The worst-affected areas are Chernihiv and Odesa oblasts, where consecutive Russian attacks have damaged energy equipment, leaving numerous consumers without power.

Quote: "Power engineers are operating in an intensified mode to restore electricity supply to all consumers as quickly as possible. Repair work is ongoing around the clock."

Details: The ministry urged people to avoid unnecessary electricity consumption during the morning and evening peak hours to ease pressure on the power system.

Background: No electricity consumption restrictions are expected to be applied in Ukraine on Thursday 26 March.
