Details: EU foreign ministers arrived in Kyiv to hold an informal ministerial meeting.
"Standing here, we felt with every fibre that the future and security of all Europe are being decided right here, on Ukrainian soil. Bucha is a symbol of Russian atrocities, but it is also a testament to Ukrainian resilience. It was from here four years ago that the liberation of our lands began. For our fallen and our survivors, accountability is not optional – it is the bedrock of a sustainable, dignified, and just peace," Sybiha said.
According to Sybiha, work on establishing a Special Tribunal, a Register of Damage and a Compensation Commission is ongoing to ensure that no crime goes unpunished.
The minister added that today's special EU ministerial meeting will focus on the battlefield situation, energy security and Ukraine's path to EU membership.
"I am grateful to Kaja Kallas for the fact that Ukraine is already de facto participating in these high-level discussions. The current frontline in Ukraine is the frontline of international law and our shared values. Ukraine is Europe, and our place is in the European Union," Sybiha concluded.
Background: Earlier, Sybiha said that the number of countries willing to join the agreement on establishing the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine is growing.
