Russia's oil revenues rise to 2022 levels, Bloomberg reports
On average, Russia exported 3.35 million barrels of oil per day between 8 March and 5 April, the highest export level since June 2022.

Details: The largest volumes were shipped to Asian countries, particularly India and China. Supplies to China averaged 1.07 million barrels per day, while India received 1.9 million barrels per day. Türkiye also purchased about 210,000 barrels per day.
In total, Russia earned about US$2.02 billion per week from these exports.
Some Russian tankers also have no specified destination. Instead, Suez or Port Sudan are often listed as final destinations. The number of such tankers is increasing, while the number officially heading to China and India is declining.
In addition, the volume of oil loaded onto tankers at sea fell to 105 million barrels. By mid-March, this figure had stood at 135-140 million barrels.
This decline is due to the fact that on 13 March, the US suspended sanctions on Russian oil already loaded onto tankers. Russia is now actively selling this oil from tankers.
Background:
- Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia and Sri Lanka began actively ordering Russian oil after sanctions were lifted.
- On 9 April, oil prices rose again as doubts about a fragile two-week ceasefire in the Middle East increased concerns that energy flows through the strategically important Strait of Hormuz would remain constrained.
