All votes counted in Bulgaria: pro-Russian Radev's party wins

The Progressive Bulgaria party of former pro-Russian president Rumen Radev has won 44.59% of the vote in the parliamentary elections on 19 April, enabling the party to secure an outright majority.

Details: According to the results, the GERB-SDS bloc came second with 13.3%. Third place went to the pro-Western We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria bloc with 12.6% of the vote.

The liberal DPS (Movement for Rights and Freedoms) party also secured a place in the Bulgarian parliament with 7.1%, as did the pro-Russian Revival party, which won 4.2% of the vote.

These results indicate that Progressive Bulgaria, led by Radev, could secure an outright majority in the National Assembly. According to various estimates, the party is set to win 130-131 seats in the 240-seat parliament.

The current elections were the eighth parliamentary elections in Bulgaria to have taken place over the last five years.
