Three volunteers and local resident injured in Russian drone strike on Kherson suburb

Three volunteers and a 69-year-old local resident were injured in Russian drone attacks on a suburb of the city of Kherson on 24 April. All were taken to hospital.

Details: A 69-year-old Kherson resident was injured at around 10:15 by explosives dropped from a Russian drone. The man suffered blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to his head, torso, arms and legs. He was taken to hospital, where doctors are carrying out further examinations.

The Russians later struck again with a drone, injuring three volunteers.

Quote: "Police officers took two men aged 56 and 31 and a young man of 18 to hospital. All three had suffered concussion and blast injuries.

The oldest casualty had also sustained shrapnel wounds. He was admitted to hospital in a moderate condition."

Background: Russian forces carried out drone strikes on civilians in Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts on the morning of 24 April, killing two people and injuring five others.
